Life is hectic with two, very different and active children. Here’s some updated pictures!
More pictures, both from Grandma and Grandpa Gumm’s visit and from Lillian’s Baptism.
You know how to get them 🙂
Pictures from June and July are now uploaded on this site: see the link on the right. The password is the same as that for Alonzo’s pictures.
The first shots of Lillian are near the end of the gallery.
Lillian-
An older Brewer family name, whose linguistic origin is either as a diminutive of Elizabeth or a lengthening of Lily. Elizabeth, and especially its derivative “Betty”, is common on both sides of the family as first and middle names.
Marjorie-
Lillian’s great grandmother (Brent’s father’s mother). Marjorie Jean Dilts Brewer, with Cyril, raised four children while moving from Tacoma, Washington, to Montana, to Palmer, Alaska, to California, and finally back to Washington. She was active in the PEO and the extension office in Alaska, and teaching music and voice.
Brewer-
Well that’s our last name…
This evening Grandma Carol and “Bapa” Tom came in from Seattle. Alonzo and Daddy went down to the airport to pick them up while Mommy and Lillian got the house ready. Alonzo was thrilled to see more visitors.
Today, Catie and Lillian came home from the hospital. Lots of resting, eating, burping (the baby), and changing diapers for all. 🙂 Many thanks to Lillian’s godmother, Erin, for watching Alonzo while Mommy and Daddy got everyone packed up and relocated. Pictures upcoming!
This evening at 11:03 pm, Lillian Marjorie Brewer was born! She was 8 lb, 2 oz and 19 inches long. Catie thinks she resembles Brent in the face. 🙂 Mom and Baby are doing well.
Today, after a long hiatus Mom and Dad took you swimming in our neighbor’s pool. It was cold, but I think we will have to do it again soon. Gotta make sure you know how to swim, here in the desert.
Just in case of a Noah’s ark size flood, just because God said he wouldn’t flood the earth doesn’t mean us humans can’t do it ourselves.
Tonight at dinner I quizzed Alonzo on where things and people were in the kitchen. It is crazy how much he knows. He surprised us all when I asked, “Where is Grandpa’s wine?”, and he pointed straight to the bottle and glass on the table in front of grandpa.
I guess toddlers really are sponges for information.
